This milestone festival is sponsored and coordinated by Stand Up for Salem, a local nonprofit dedicated to community revitalization and civic pride. The yearlong run-up to the anniversary has seen the installation of festive banners, upgrades to signage, façade enhancements, and the iconic oversized birthday cake making appearances across city events. The official logo — a design featuring oak leaves and an acorn — symbolizes Salem’s rebirth, reflected in the anniversary slogan: “Salem… Celebrating Past, Present, and Future.”
