BREAKING NEWS: SECRET HADDYWEEN MENU RELEASED

Available until November 1st at participating restaurants

Thanks to our friends at Kings Road Brewing Company, a secret Haddyween menu item is available at the following neighborhood spots: The Bistro at Haddonfield, The British Chip Shop, Denim BYOB, DiBartolo European Bakery, Ludovico's, and Pizza Crime!

Haddonfield came alive with prehistoric Halloween happenings!

ANNOUNCING: Happy Haddyween! The FIRST Annual Haddyween was yesterday, October 31st, 2020, in Haddonfield, providing a fun and safe way to enjoy the holiday - with a local twist...our beloved "HADDY" hadrosaurus bronze sculpture! All across town, local residents and friends enjoyed the spirit of the holiday with these beautiful happenings!

HISTORY: The hadrosaurus foulkii was discovered in Haddonfield in 1838, and became the first ever mounted dinosaur skeleton. Since 1991, the species H. foulkii has become the official state dinosaur of New Jersey.

 

PHOTO OPPORTUNITIES: DiBartolo’s brand new European-style patisserie baked up something special! In addition, photo opportunities for families by the bronze sculpture were available, including a guest appearance from the artist himself, John Giannotti. Mr. Giannotti shared in-person history by the sculpture he crafted. 

 

SHOP & PLAY: Happy Hippo had a wide variety of dinosaur-themed toys for kids to enjoy. And was an appearance by a friendly dinosaur on the corner of Kings Highway and Haddon Avenue. Also, Inkwood Books had dinosaur and Halloween-themed reading fun.

SCARECROW WALK: All across town: A town-wide scarecrow walk provided families and friends a chance to stroll around neighborhoods to enjoy the delightful works of art! Thank you to Play at Art for the incredible scarecrow kits! See a scarecrow you love? Did you take a photo and share on social media with #haddyween!

WINDOW CONTEST: Until November 1st, downtown shoppers can vote for their favorite Haddyween window displays. One lucky shopper will win a Trick-or-Treat bag  of gift cards contributed by participating businesses. The business that gets the most votes will win free advertising in Haddonfield Today, sponsor of the contest.

SCAVENGER HUNTS: Today is the final day to pick up your Haddyween-themed scavenger hunt cards at The Bistro at Haddonfield! Make sure to visit the Allie Nagel Team - RE/MAX ONE Facebook page to learn more about how to turn in your completed cards.  The Historical Society of Haddonfield's scavenger hunt consisted of all historical sites in Haddonfield. The Historical Society is also hosting a special November 1st Haunter Walking Tour.

TRICK OR ROAR: The Weichert office on Kings Highway let visitors take photos with Haddy the Dinosaur!  Agents haded out individual goodie bags for kids with a dinosaur craft to take home, balloons, and a special treat.

RESTAURANTS & LIBATIONS: King's Road Brewery is featuring a Haddy-themed beer for the occasion called Hadrosaur Hop Giant, which was released on Saturday, October 31st on Haddyween. Participating neighboring restaurants have released a SECRET Haddyween menu, available at King's Road until November 1st. when the sun set on Saturday, October 31st, King's Road showed Jurassic Park on the outside wall of their beer garden.
