Shark Summer FT. Scuba Tooth Fairy

It’s o-fish-al… Shark Summer is swimming back to Adventure Aquarium from July 15 through August 18. Guests visiting during the shark-filled festival will have the chance to learn about the oceans’ top apex predators, take a bite out of jaw-some activities and see the Scuba Tooth Fairy (back by popular demand!) as they search for fallen shark teeth in the Aquarium’s 550,000-gallon Ocean Realm exhibit.

On average, sharks lose about 35,000 teeth in their lifetime, and as the proud home to the largest collection of sharks in the Northeast, Adventure Aquarium’s Scuba Tooth Fairy won’t be short on teeth to find. In addition to a critically endangered great hammerhead shark, the Aquarium is home to species including sandbar sharks (endangered), sand tiger sharks (critically endangered), Pacific blacktip reef sharks (vulnerable), nurse sharks (vulnerable), silky sharks (vulnerable), whitespotted bamboo sharks, brownbanded bamboo sharks and epaulet sharks.
