OKTOBERFEST 2021

Name of Event: Oktoberfest

Dates: September 18 - October 3, 2021

Locations: 131 Kings Highway East, Haddonfield, NJ & 67 North Main Street, Medford, NJ​​

The official dates of the Munich Oktoberfest 2021 were scheduled for September 18 thru October 3. While the Munich event is cancelled again this year, Open South Jersey is excited to share some good news...We will be celebrating at Kings Road Brewing Company in Haddonfield AND Medford this year!

King's Road Brewing Company will be hosting their Oktoberfest celebration again this year on: September 18 thru October 3. Haddonfield Mayor, Colleen Bianco Bezich, and Medford Mayor, Chuck Watson, will tap the first beer at noon in both towns, they brewed a traditional Oktoberfest lager for the occasion that was be tapped for the first time on that day. Oktoberfest music was playing, there were special shirts and decorations, and traditional 1-liter German beer mugs were available to drink from and to purchase.​​

Participating Businesses

Several of the surrounding restaurants will offer special menu items throughout the dates of the event. They will deliver directly to King's Road's beer garden, or, should we say, "biergarten."

Looking for a fresh way to start your Saturdays? Visit the beautiful Haddonfield Farmers' Market, which opens at 8:30AM.  While in Haddonfield, enjoy this suggested walking tour of the outdoor sculptures by the Haddonfield Outdoor Sculpture Trust​​.

Stein Hoisting!

Judges from the US Stein Holding Association will be judging the stein holding challenge. Winners of each heat get a free King's Road Oktoberfest t-shirt, and are automatically entered into the championship on October 3rd. Championship winners receive a $250 gift card.


Stein Hoisting Schedule Below:

In Haddonfield:

  • 9/18, 9/19, 9/25, 9/26, and 10/2 stein hoisting challenge will be at 3:30pm at King's Road Brewing

In Medford:

  • 9/18 there are 3 stein hoisting challenges:

    • 2:00pm and 5:00pm at Freedom Park 

    • 7:30pm at King's Road Brewing

  • 9/19, 9/25, 9/26, and 10/2 stein hoisting will be at 5:00pm

CHAMPIONSHIP:

  • The championship will be at King's Road MEDFORD at 5:00pm on Sunday, October 3rd. Winners receive $250.
